When I first went to Nashvikle, I was of course compared to other singers; Loretta, Melba and most of all Wanda Jackson. She was the first thing that Faron said to me; you sound like Wanda and you have the "gumption on stage that she has" so that made me feel pretty good. I looked a lot like her in the facial area but she was a petite thing with a powerhouse voice.
I recorded one of her songs, "Two Separate Bar Stools".
